The link between a connected work of art and social networks is fundamental. The connected artwork allows through the visitor application to collect factual and objective data about the visitor.

How many profiles are subscribed to the museum? What is he looking at? For how long ? What path does he take? How often has the show been “liked” or shared on social networks?

In monalitag® MULTIMEDIA, this data is collected automatically in accordance with the privacy of the visitor. They are in sufficient quantity and quality to represent the reality of the visit. This makes it possible to adjust the exhibition circuit, the scenographies and to specify the content of the future exhibitions.
The detectors used to connect the artwork are also used to protect it from theft, vandalism and dangerous climatic conditions. This is called global supervision of connected works of art.

This is one of the subjects developed in the White Book “IoT for Culture”.
